Her work research how the porous space between territory, language, limits and body can be understood by extending their relations as gestures through ceramic, video, sound, found objects, sculpture and photography. Crespo earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and in 2015 completed an academic residency for photography in IADE in Lisbon, Portugal. She co-founded Periférica (2014) a platform dedicated to the production and distribution of content related to visual arts in Tijuana, and has been program coordinator of Cine Tonalá Tijuana (2018 - 2020). She was awarded a grant in the program “Jóvenes Creadores” from the National Endowment of Arts and Culture of Mexico (FONCA) (2018 and 2020), and has been fellow for PECDA BC program in 2019, all in the area of "Alternative Media and Performance”. Currently she is studying a MFA at Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam, and has been granted by Van Beek Donner and Jumex Foundation.
